Through the organic arch of the wood, a wide expanse of sandy beach is visible, leading to the ocean where gentle waves roll towards the shore under a partly cloudy blue sky. This morning's sunrise at the Oshawa golf course. It was -26C, so I didn't stay long. 😄

Looking down the fairway of a golf course, there is a deep blanket of snow over the ground. There is a mound of snow in the foreground and the land slopes down significantly from there towards the green. On each side of the fairway there are mostly bare deciduous trees, with one evergreen in the distance. The sky is mostly blue but there is a wide streak of pink across the sky to the west, cast by the rising sun behind me.

Our picture shows a dramatic sky at sunset just outside my house here in Ireland. Most of the image is filled with deep shades of blue, fading from a very dark navy at the top to a brighter, clearer blue as the eye moves downward. Near the horizon, warm golden light spreads outward, with the sun is just behind a layer of clouds. A band of thick clouds sits low in the sky, glowing in rich yellows and soft golds where the sunlight hits them. The light appears strongest at the centre, creating a gentle halo effect that radiates upward into the blue sky. A few small, isolated white clouds float higher above, standing out sharply against the darker blue background. Along the bottom edge of the image are the silhouettes of leafless trees, their thin, branching outlines dark and delicate, against the winter sun. The trees form a jagged, natural border between the land and the glowing sky. Overall, the scene feels calm yet powerful, with a striking contrast between the cool blues above and the warm golden light near the horizon, evoking a sense of quiet transition and stillness.
