I’m sure all the publicists will say the declining was taken out of context, but what is extra messed up about this, is that Sebastian Stan was born in a country that was, at the time, under a brutal authoritarian regime, which would’ve given so much more perspective to a potential conversation.
Sebastian Stan says he was offered to take part in Variety’s Actors on Actors for ‘THE APPRENTICE’ but couldn’t as no publicist wanted their client to be paired with him to talk about the film.

I think it is insane the way people are tiptoeing around THE APPRENTICE. It's a great movie, with an amazing Sebastian Stan performance, and the last thing it does is excuse or humanize its subject. Terrific filmmaking, and discussing the film as a film should not be difficult, folks.

It's genuinely unfortunate that A Different Man got the absolute short shaft - and, if anything, was yoked to The Apprentice and its controversies - because it's easily my favorite movie of the year so far, and Sebastian Stan delivers an iconic performance.
