Excited to introducd the SQaLe dataset for text-to-SQL training/tuning at scale. SQaLe is the first large-scale text-to-SQL dataset grounded in real schemas and covers a broad range of realistic queries (eg # joins, operations).

SQaLe provides 517K high-quality question/schema/query triples 🤩.

It’s just plain stupid to encourage our most experienced controllers to quit, given the job’s rigorous training requirements and the shortage of controllers.

We should be trying to retain our most experienced controllers, not slandering them and pushing them to leave their careers early.

Swear her in!
It’s time for Speaker Johnson to cut the ridiculous excuses and do his job. Adelita Grijalva won an election more than 6 weeks ago, and she still hasn’t been sworn in to represent more than 800,000 Arizonans. Read her op-ed:
I was elected 6 weeks ago. Speaker Mike Johnson refuses to swear me in.
Speaker Mike Johnson refuses to swear me into office, an unprecedented and starkly undemocratic position that sets a very dangerous precedent.

Immigration judges with prior immigrant defense work make up the largest share of those fired by the Trump admin. NPR identified 70 fired immigration judges. The changes have at least shifted perception of fairness in these courts

November is Native American Heritage Month, and I’m honored to represent a state with such a rich history influenced by indigenous communities. Arizona’s 22 federally-recognized tribes each bring unique contributions to our culture, and our state wouldn’t be the same without them.

At what point does US air travel shut down? Newark was closed for a chunk of time yesterday because of a shortage of air traffic controllers, thanks to the government shutdown.

Probably not a good time to be flying.

The Trump shutdown is now reaching our federal courts.

Public defenders could see larger caseloads.
Challenges to Trump’s lawlessness could be delayed.
Access to a fair trial could be hindered.

Justice could be delayed—or even denied.

Swearing in isn’t some ceremony. You aren’t a member of Congress until it happens. He knows that.

No phones, no staff, nothing.

I had to escort her into the Capitol on Wed bc Capitol police must treat her as a public visitor until she’s sworn in. And solo visitors aren’t allowed during shutdown!
Johnson: "Grijalva should be working for her constituents right now. I don't know what she's doing. I keep seeing their political stunt videos. She should be in her office. She should be working or in the district for her constituents" (Grijalva is not in fact a Rep. b/c Johnson refuses to seat her)
