I'm uninstalling my RING today.

Dystopia notwithstanding, the Ring commercial about their surveillance finding lost pets makes no sense.

Of the ~10M pets lost annually, their service finds ~500. They want Americans to commit privacy suicide for a .005% success rate???

Yeah, no thanks. Cancelling.

Interestingly, DC *itself* has seen a massive surge in MMR vaccination over the past 5 years, leaping from a dismal 78.9% vaccination rate among kindergartners in 2020-21 to roughly 93% by 2024-2025.

It was one of the highest vaccination surges in the country. www.nbcwashington.com/news/health/...

Welcome back! Time to rebuild…
This week, a brave New Mexican who voted for Trump three times went on C-SPAN to talk about the lies, racism, and corruption that he and his Admin are creating.

The tides are turning. We all feel it. America—it’s time to reclaim our country.

No joke: I got angry hate mail today for writing an obituary of a Black woman scientist—because the person felt she did didn’t deserve the recognition.

Which just makes me want to share it again: www.nature.com/articles/d41...

She made key contributions to US cold-war science despite facing huge barriers as a Black woman.

The decimation of the WaPo's news staff is a disaster for accountability journalism globally and community journalism in the D/M/V.

I'm at a loss for words to describe the magnitude of greed it takes to hoard hundreds of billions of dollars while sacking reporters, editors and photojournalists.

Big tech has gutted ad revenue and monopolized distribution, billionaires have exerted a corrosive control over the platforms, and both squeezed the industry away. We have to organize. We have to get systematic, and think and act collectively.

again we do not really do a good job of explaining how wealthy people like Jeff Bezos are

his net worth is $253.2 billion.
so he could take one million dollars, and just light it on fire
and then do it again tomorrow

and then do it every day for 693 years and 8 months
