A treat for your eyes
Lots of monarchs passing through now. They are especially drawn to the Mexican sunflowers and the Zinnias to feed and fuel up. 🦋

Could programmers from the 80's understand today's code?

Could todays programmers understand code from the 80's?

My brother, I don't understand my own code from last week. Every line I write is a bespoke bit of spontaneous genius that even I am incapable of deciphering mere days after writing it.

'Andrena solenopalpa' is unusual within its genus due to its long mouthparts.
It exclusively visits 'Lithodora fruticosa' flowers, probably being a textbook example of adaptation. Does this adaptation mean higher pollination effectiveness?

Our latest for @sequentialscholars.bsky.social: capturing the cosmic sublime in John Byrne's "The Last Galactus Story." #FantasticFour #Galactus #ComicsStudies
“The Last Galactus Story” (1984) centers the perspective of the devourer & his faithful herald Nova. Writer/artist John Bryne uses a variety of visual techniques to represent the unrepresentable: inhuman beings interacting with the cosmic sublime. 1/12 #FantasticFour #Galactus

Deep and accurate.
Writing is funny because both my biggest brightest dream and stomach churning dread is having people read my book.

Potentially habitable planet found near Alpha Centauri
New from Nature: “I had to take a moment of silence to appreciate what I was seeing.”

Astronomers reveal what could be the first ever image of a planet in its star’s habitable zone—and in the same star system as Avatar, no less

Alien planet glimpsed in star's 'habitable zone'
A smudge of light spotted by the James Webb telescope near Alpha Centauri A could be the planet with the tightest orbit ever to be imaged directly.
