This should be the end of Farage but the media will protect him.

That his being a long term Russian asset is ignored is the point.
He and his Party really are Britain’s moral decline aren’t they

@bbcnewsnight.bsky.social you lads covering this or are you busy booking disgraced Tory hasbeens and Farage adjacents for your sofa ?
New - Nigel Farage has been found by the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards to have made 17 standards breaches, adding up to over £380,000 in late declarations.

He’s apologised, so no further investigation (which seems unusual for a breach this large)

@freestatepodcast.bsky.social It is getting a wee bit strained between the lads as Dion gives out to Brolly in a manner most of us would have done a couple of years ago.

This is such a cool illustration of how the Mercator map distorts the size of Greenland, which looks as big as the whole continent of Africa on that map but is actually the size of Mexico.

I think the quote is ‘ if you are a journalist ‘ lads. But the content on the Clintons is spot on.
If you're a weatherman you look outside the window and you say what the weather is, you don't say you know one person says it's wet and one person says it's dry - you open the window and say it's raining.

This by the way is the richest, most intelligent and, above all, honest piece of writing I’ve read in a long time. It’s about far more than the killing in Gaza. It’s a seriously strong work of moral and political analysis.

So on BBC News right now a Republican woman gaslights us by saying masked ICE agents are not thugs and wibbles on about both sides of the aisle. ‘She put herself in danger’ and ‘left wing rhetoric is putting democracy at risk’. The anchor is a fucking disgrace for not challenging this.

An upsetting question I have this morning is whether the transparent absurdity of the White House's denials that ICE agents are quite simply killing people in plain sight is something else they learned from Putin after, e.g., the Salisbury poisoning or another oligarch falling out of a window.

@freestatepodcast.bsky.social Dion should be allowed to develop his point. I’m sure it won’t be that all of this was sort of necessary to win the dirty war against the Irish in the North. That would be the most West Brit thing ever, so it would.

I can’t help thinking that when, in future, people ask what UK political leaders said as it became undeniable that US saw European liberal democracy as its no1 strategic foe, Starmer and others will regret that the answer is “not much, shuffled awkwardly, looked at their feet”.

70% of the additional spending from removing the two-child limit will go to families who are in work. This is targeting support for low-income working households who are being priced out of a decent standard of living despite doing everything asked of them.
