I’m Jen Mazzocco. I’m a teacher, a mom, a union leader and a councilwoman, and now I’m running to be your next State Representative in House District 42.

You’d be hard pressed to find one bit of progress Dormont has made over the last 8 years that Jen hasn’t played some role in. I’ve been proud to serve with her on Borough Council, and whole heatedly endorse her for HD42!

Let’s get her to Harrisburg!

Solidarity ALWAYS wins. Congrats to the working men and women at the PG!! 👊
BREAKING: We won!

Today the 3rd Circuit Court ordered the @post-gazette.com to restore our contract it illegally tore up 5 years ago. That’s our health care, PTO, right to a 40-hr. work week, short-term disability and so much more we’ve struck for 3+ years.

Any “deal” that ends with Dems just getting a pinky promise in return is a mistake.

The American people are suffering because Republicans refuse to stop healthcare costs from skyrocketing. An agreement that doesn’t fix that reality falls massively short.

Yes, Mr. President: You’re right. We do have “the worst health care” of any major country.

Despite spending twice as much per capita, we are the only major country not to guarantee health care to all as a human right.

The solution: Medicare for All.

Republicans in Harrisburg have caused the state budget to be more than three months late for ideological and political reasons.

Sensing a theme here?
Harrisburg boiled over into a mess of acrimonious finger pointing as three months of frustration from fruitless closed door talks burst into public view as the budget impasse hit the 100 days mark Wednesday.

A couple months after the GOP Congress voted to gut Medicaid to give themselves a tax cut, millions more with private insurance are set to incur massive premium hikes.

This on top of a softening job market and increasing costs for utilities and basic necessities.
