We are living through dark, disturbing and dangerous times, but do not despair — the cavalry is coming! Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band will be taking the stage this spring from Minneapolis to California to Texas to Washington, D.C. for the Land of Hope And Dreams American Tour.

Major props to Oakmont Borough here.

In response to ICE activity, Dormont last fall reiterated its policy of non-involvement with federal immigration enforcement. It’s good to see other municipalities take similar stances in response to blatant trampling of basic rights.

I’m here to remind you after yesterday’s 31-point(!!) swing in Tarrant County, Texas…

Pennsylvania’s state senate is still held by Republicans, as it has been since 1993.

We have a real shot to change that in 2026 — though it’s all in eastern PA.

Employed? Valid work visa? Was going to be granted asylum in the U.S.? No criminal record?

Didn’t matter. Jose Flores was still kidnapped by ICE.

What I don’t need to hear from elected officials: calls to abolish ICE are “divisive.”

What’s divisive is masked federal agents executing American citizens in the streets with impunity.
It was never about immigration enforcement.

A beautiful vigil this afternoon in Mt. Lebanon in remembrance of Renee Good.

We’re in a pretty dark place where government sanctioned violence can take the lives of innocent Americans. But it’s heartening to see that the good that is out there will always outshine the hate.

Never mind the fact that shutting down what used to be one of the country’s best newspapers conveniently comes after the courts ruled against the Blocks’ illegal labor practices.

This is a tragedy for those workers and the region.
