Turnarounds in a country can surge from a weary, burdened People, who can no longer stand the heavy disparities between their poor life conditions and the brazen, cynical abuse against them from those in power.

A.I. can produce the possibilities of history repeating itself.

There’s an off ramp as wide as the world to get out of this. Real bipartisanship and solving a real health care problem for constituents should be the order of the day.

This won't be the worst. This is only the worst yet. They will steal trillions
So, if I’m reading this right: They gutted the office that runs the government’s award-winning, in-house HR and staffing software, and now they’ve inked a sole-source, no-bid contract so that a private company on proprietary software can do what the office of civil servants did on in-house software
Workday gets contract from US agency behind DOGE's staff cuts without competitive tender
The federal HR agency at the heart of billionaire Trump advisor Elon Musk's efforts to slash the federal workforce says it has awarded a contract for a new cloud-based HR platform to Workday without seeking bids from rivals.

A 🧵

You wouldn’t know it, but all of the four following things are true:

1. Ohio was one of the pioneers in the public school movement in the early 1800s, which anchored much of the state’s success and growth that followed;

I distinctly remember the feeling when Google first went live.

It felt like it was reaching into my head and pulling up the first result of the thing I wanted. It was almost creepy it was so good.

Now? Now it feels like reaching back into Yahoo, circa 1994.

Makes me furious to see cops cr@p on unions. They use the ladder and pull it up behind them.
Labor unions protect their members from exploitation by their employers, police unions protect their members from the consequences of their own actions.

Isn't anyone else concerned that an unelected former illegal alien with 500 billion and a shlt load of govt contracts just single handedly killed a major bill in congress?

In one pair of graphs.
Tax policy directs where wealth lands.
Republicans directed it to the 1%
W. Europe didn't
Reaganomics FLEECED the middle and working class

I don't know who needs to know this, but Pro Publica has an online thing that will format a letter to your US health insurance company to demand the records behind a claim denial. (which the insurance is then legally required to provide in most cases)

They are ignorant because they get their news and information from sources that don't inform them, and usually dis-inform them. How do we get them to obtain information from sources that employ fact-checkers? Until Americans feel some sort of stigma or shame at being misled, we are screwed.
