This is just theater for MAGA. If Trump REALLY wanted the Epstein Files released, he doesn't need Congress. He could just call Pam Bondi and order her to release them. He hasn't. And won't. He and Pam have cooked up a new "ongoing investigation" that she can use as an excuse not to release evidence.

Every time I see conservative fearmongering about how dangerous the NYC subway is, I feel the need to defend it. I grew up in Ohio. It’s cars that are dangerous. It’s car accidents that are terrifyingly common. I’m not being dramatic when I say the subway is one of the best parts of my life now.

I hope Mamdani gets a robust rapid-response operation online as soon as possible. He needs to counterattack all the shit he’s getting. Follow Newsom’s example. Hit back hard in the same news cycle. It will get national awareness and give the Democratic establishment something to think about.
