The only point I’m making is that there is nothing preventing someone from wasting their vote regardless if who they vote for is ineligible to hold that office or not even a candidate.

I know that person is joking, but there’s nothing preventing any eligible voter from voting for anybody they want to, even if it’s a wasted vote.
