Lots of these borehole pipes appeared in the local fields recently, guessing they're to monitor groundwater prior to covering the area in houses

Quick reprocess of some old out of focus data using more current PixInsight workflow & tools, amazing the difference few years makes, don't miss the days of manually focusing & framing

Here is 13 hrs of Ha data from my latest work-in-progress, “The Flying Dragon Nebula” in Cygnus. I did a quick process & removed the stars in PixInsight. Still need to capture RGB and maybe some SII but so far so good. Imaged from my yard with a Stellarvue SVX80 and 0.8 reducer. 🔭 #Astrophotography

This afternoon's project, making an accessory plate to mount new Evoguide 50 on 100ED to keep it clear of the Mele PC, did consider a 'proper' plate but £50 buys a lot of alu bar 😀

Bit late to the party but thought I'd have a look for supernova #SN2025rbs last night in between the clouds, some saying it's the bright star to the left of the NGC7331 core but not 100% convinced
