This is 20 hrs of data on NGC 1499, The California Nebula. I reprocessed SHO data captured last year using the new Multi-scale Adaptive Stretch process in PixInsight. 🔭 #Astrophotography

It’s #straturday. This is my 1979 3-bolt neck Frankenstrat. Original pickups, but I added a Floyd Rose and midi guitar pickup. Love the tone this guitar has. It’s also a great slide guitar.

NGC 2264 is known as the Cone Nebula & the Christmas Tree Cluster & lives about 1000 ly from Earth in the constellation Monoceros. This 11 hr OSC capture was taken last February using a 102mm refractor with no filters. Finally got around to processing it in time for the holidays. 🔭 #Astrophotography

At about 49 million light years from Earth, NGC 7331 and friends are wishing you all a great Thanksgiving. This was an 18 hour LRGB capture taken from my yard, under Bortle 5 skies in central MA using an 8” SCT at 1422mm focal length. Happy Thanksgiving! 🔭 #Astrophotography

Here’s a crop of Stephan’s Quintet taken from my yard with an 8” SCT. While these make up a visual cluster, the blue galaxy, NCG 7320, is closer to us at about 40 million ly from Earth. The other galaxies are gravitationally bound & are a whopping 300 million ly away. 🔭 #Astrophotography

Here’s a crop of Stephan’s Quintet taken from my yard with an 8” SCT. While these make up a visual cluster, the blue galaxy, NCG 7320, is closer to us at about 40 million ly from Earth. The other galaxies are gravitationally bound & are a whopping 300 million ly away. 🔭 #Astrophotography

Here is my completed processing of SH2-114, The Flying Dragon Nebula in Cygnus. This is an extremely faint emission nebula I captured from my deck in Central, MA over 5 nights in Aug and Sept... about 24 hrs of data total.(see ALT text for capture details) 🔭 #Astrophotography
