I keep thinking they're willfully ignoring the child inside, but I guess some people really can't remember it from the inside, just like some people don't remember their dreams.
I completely remember being a kid, so much so that it has interfered with my parenting at times (but mostly enriched it).

one of the things that has struck me consistently throughout my entire adult life is how quickly people seem to completely forget what it was like to be a child. the way they felt, the things they wanted and needed. i don't understand because i have never forgotten that

Oooh Tornado watch! At least that's one small bit of my inner being that hasn't been utterly harmed by the traumatic night that I became a grandmother. I mean, in 9 wks I still can't let go and geek on a tornado watch without recalling her birth night, but I'm not crying 🤷🏼♀️👌🏼🦸🏼♀️

Finally watching The Pitt and they did a thing in episode 2 that I’d never seen before - gore vfx wise. It’s subtle but effective as hell. #floatingface

Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs nights: can't sleep bc nature calls, belly hurts, crying, fear (new grandbaby traumatic birth). Friday night, feel ok in the bod, feel AOK about the new grandbaby: sleep pretty well. Sat night, feel nearly normal, baby's home: can't sleep cuz feel too good? Grrrr 🙄🫤😒
