Kyle Kingsbury is not a journalist. He is not an op-ed writer.

He is a computer safety researcher.

And he has written one of the most compelling, comprehensive accounts of the ongoing hell in Chicago that you could possibly imagine.

In under 1600 words.

It’s not just TACO; now we have DACO. Dems just sold out all the Americans who will no longer be able to afford healthcare.

If you are approached by federal agents: invoke your5th Amendment right to remain silent, and your 6th Amendment right to counsel, by saying “I cannot answer any questions without my lawyer."

Leavitt: At this moment in time, the ballroom is really the president's main priority.

If the billionaires (supposedly) contributing toward that ballroom had a shred of decency, they’d be paying for people’s SNAP benefits and health insurance subsidies instead or in addition. But decency is pretty thin on the ground lately.

While Americans are paying more than ever for basic necessities, the Trump family has been making themselves richer.

In autumn, no less. I know climate change is happening, but much of the US does still have winter.
On Threads, the usual suspects are telling ppl about to lose SNAP benefits to just start a garden. As a gardener, I had to laugh. You need at LEAST an acre of land to feed a family of 4. Start-up costs are enormous. But yes, subsistence farming on the balcony of your rental apartment is the answer

Adelita Grijalva was elected by the people of her district. They are being denied their duly elected representation. Mike Johnson must swear her in now, whether he likes it or not.

Defund the scientists: something that's actually happening, but almost nobody's talking about in those terms.

it’s absurd that NYT forced him to delete these skeets, which … convey the factual information that Zohran Mamdani is, in fact, a man of South Asian descent who was born and raised in Africa, and that the pseudonymous source of the hacked material is a white supremacist eugenicist.

That sounds like a great class! We saw filmed versions in school. I didn’t see S plays on stage until I was an adult. I love seeing them on stage. Especially get a kick out of the ways the ghosts are handled in Macbeth and Hamlet.

We really are living in “Idiocracy.”

Do remember that these plays were written to be performed, not read. Find a good film version (or several) of a play you plan to read, and watch it as well as reading. Interesting too to note the liberties a film (or theatre) production takes, and see if you agree with their choices.
