And every year I fall in love with autumn all over again

There’s a very good reason why “growth” seems to be eluding most mature economies including ours. The economy depends on natural capital and ours is severely depleted.

Not all activism is meant for public consumption. If you think all activism requires that everyone know what you're doing, are you doing work for others or for yourself?

Amen to this whole thread.

And if you hear anyone complaining about this delaying the next Wingspan expansion, tell them they now owe a $50 donation to their local hospice organization for being an asshole. Findpan doesn't have a thing to do with the delay but my dad's cancer sure as hell does.
The Finspan announcement dropped today (by the way, it looks GORGEOUS!!). I'm really excited for the whole Finspan team!

Being a year removed from the Wyrmspan release, I'm reminded of the rollercoaster of emotions I experienced then #boardgames 🧵

AI term is used for anything that employs an algorithm. There’s no distinction between statistical analysis and autocorrect and llm generative… Makes it meaningless with everyone talking at cross purpose

Working in comms & social media can make it extra challenging to have a long stretch offline, but in the tenth year of my business I’ve got the process down.

So this is me signing off for the year.

Catch you ~6 Jan, 2025!

“It's amazing how pollution has dropped in #Paris in 15 years. @annehidalgo.bsky.social has filled the city with bike-lanes & not only has she reduced pollution by 40% but she’s also been re-elected.”

Trading car space for green space, bike space, kid space…trading pollution for people. Good trade.
Es alucinante cómo ha bajado la contaminación en París en 15 años. Anne Hidalgo lo ha llenado todo de carriles bici y no sólo ha reducido la contaminación en un 40%, sino que ha sido reelegida.

2024 is peak silly season for pre-Christmas work requests

IMO we should all be calming down, slowing down, downing tools, DOWN is the theme

Not up up up upload this to the website and LinkedIn and the Drive and the Canva and you get the idea

Solstice may not be for another 11 days, but the sun is already ‘standing still’ ☀️

The word ‘solstice’ comes from the Latin ‘solstitium’ meaning ‘Sun Stands Still’ as the Sun appears to stop at its most southerly point

Your sunsets won’t get any later, but your dawn still creeps in 🌌

I struggle to leave the house sometimes, so have started scheduling things for earlier in the morning. 8am haircut got me walking the streets of Exeter as the sun rose. A good decision.
