There's no excuse for the Vice President of the United States to use a heinous killing as an occasion to baselessly frame political opponents as accomplices to murder while threatening to use the power of the government to attack them.

This dangerous rhetoric will only fan the flames.

american masculinity is so amazing. caring about clothes as a man apparently makes you "gay" but our position on geopolitics totally depends on whether you wear a suit

Rev. Budde is a true hero speaking truth to power! What’s striking is how exhausted Trump looks and how angry Vance looks.
Rev. Mariann Edgar Budde to Trump: "I ask you to have mercy upon the people in our country who are scared now. There are gay, lesbian, and transgender people in Democratic, Republican, and independent families, some who fear for their lives ... and the vast majority of immigrants are not criminals"

The LA fires and Trump’s constant insane posts drive home how we are truly at the edge of a cliff as a country here in the States and that there are so many cheering this on as we plunge has me feeling so hopeless/helpless/unfocused. Where are people finding glimmers of hope?

It feels like society is cracking open and we’re going to be asked to make serious, meaningful changes by our circumstances and we will have a leadership class actively trained for decades to avoid the topic altogether

Elon Musk and JD Vance publicly supporting the neo-Nazis of Germany's AfD, just as an AfD supporter/Elon Musk fan kills 5 and injures 100+ in a terrorist attack at a Christmas market in Germany. Vance's pro-AfD statement came *after* the attack.
It's bad. Not sure what else to say. Dark times ahead.

Anyone who was not already clear prior to 2025 about how legitimately troubled a person Elon Musk is is going to fully understand that come 2025.

He's an immensely powerful, immensely dangerous, immensely stupid, immensely unscrupulous, immensely bigoted wannabe-edgelord tool who can wreck America.

Take a moment and read this excellent article on how 47 with assistance from his unqualified DoE pick Linda McMahon will destroy public education.

She is a horrible person who is under investigation along with her ex Vince for CSA. Go figure.

Trump has loaded his cabinet with men credibly accused of sexual assault.

So, naturally, the media, with MAGA’s guidance, is focused on… whether one trans woman should be allowed to use a bathroom.

The American press never fails to fail covering this guy and his sexually deviant posse.

Blocking Nazis, trolls, and fascists doesn’t make it an “echo chamber.” People need to stop gaslighting us into thinking we have to listen to Nazis and debate trolls in order to be informed.

Forgive me for being blunt.

But “we’ll fix this in the next election” is NOT A GREAT RESPONSE TO WHERE WE ARE.

Normal rules are NOT in play.

Act now.
Organize now.
Speak up now.
Plan now.
Push back—and urge power- holders to do the same.

Now.

Is anyone talking about what happens when Trump becomes too mentally incapacitated to be propped up any longer? I saw people suggesting that the Rep plan was to take Trump out via 25th amendment to have Vance take over but does Vance have the same support?
