To kick off the new year, we started NGE last night, got 3 eps in before honk shoo time. That's gonna be the max we watch each day for the next week or so. Already have some thoughts... this show is gonna tear me apart, I'm sure, and has already cut me a bit deep as is.

It is that deep actually. I think we should absolutely take things more seriously.
This wave of anti-intellectual mindsets crashing over all of art is incredibly dangerous.
I think you should engage with that movie, game or art on a more genuine level, it will better your brain and humanity.

Kill the artist in your mind that gets so anxious about “ not having a consistent style.” I try to draw so many wildly different subjects in as many different ways as I can, and I think being able to grasp at variety is only a benefit to your craft, especially going forward.
