$181B of US taxpayer money annually goes to corporate subsidies…but DOGE felt SNAP benefits and healthcare was where we should trim the fat? Corporate welfare is a huge expense.

The extreme and psychotic overreaction by Trump and Stephen Miller to Democratic military vets in the Senate and House urging service members to remember that their oath is to the Constitution and not a man tells us a lot about the Trump admin’s plans for the military.

The White House unintentionally created a sharp contrast between their vision and best the traditions of the FBI by (accidentally) appointing Brian Driscoll as its acting leader while Patel was being confirmed.
The Drizz was everything Patel was not: an experienced and respected agent w integrity.

As #COP30 races to be the CDR COP, great time to listen to a podcast about overshoot and how little sense it makes.
“Occidental Petroleum put out a press release claiming they had produced the world's first zero-carbon barrel of oil.”

Trump suggests Khashoggi had it coming: "You're mentioning someone that was extremely controversial. A lot of people didn't like that gentleman that you're talking about. Whether you like him or didn't like him, things happen. But he knew nothing about it. You don't have to embarrass our guest."

Thank you to the more than 700 students who joined me and the “Godfather of AI,” Nobel Prize winner Dr. Geoffrey Hinton, at the Georgetown Institute of Politics and Public Service.

We must ask ourselves: Will AI benefit all of us? Or just the billionaires?

Trump’s administration is dismantling key disability employment protections. It’s the most significant retreat from federal disability rights enforcement in decades.

If we don’t act, a growing number of disabled people could be shut out of the workforce. I’m fighting back.

Of course it is. (He's going for some kind of record. He's already threatened military action against Canada, Mexico, Greenland, Panama, and Venezuela while taking punitive economic actions against virtually everyone else in the Hemisphere. The Monroe Doctrine it ain't.)

Why? Why gut this important agency for female workers who experienced gender based violence and harassment. Deplorable. Crimes against women ARE CRIMES.
We’re investigating the Trump-Vance admin's plans to shutter the Department of Labor Women’s Bureau – including cutting 66% of its staff and $1.4M in funding to prevent & support workers who experience gender based violence and harassment.

The admin must answer for its efforts to rollback progress.

I dropped off Virginia Giuffre’s memoir for Speaker Johnson. If he actually reads it, maybe he’ll finally release the Epstein Files and stop covering for the powerful men who abused her.

Justice for Virginia and the hundreds of other victims is long overdue.

The senators’ comments came after House Speaker Mike Johnson said he would hold a vote on the House floor to repeal the provision inserted by his Senate counterparts.

Containment of Trump after his first administration should have been paramount for Biden’s administration to protect the country (from enemies foreign or domestic). I made the mistake of believing this was self-evident. Dems (those who would listen) had been fully informed by psych professionals.
Imagine how much more about Donald Trump's crimes we would know, and how our politics would have unfolded differently, if everyone of significance had been either interviewed by the FBI or put before a federal grand jury in the spring of 2021, while memories were still fresh.
