Premature optimization is the root of all evil (Don Knuth, I think). Simple is better than complex (and complex is better than complicated).
Anyone else find that LLM suggested code for R (or other languages) seems to optimize for brevity or “elegance” rather than computational speed / efficiency? Like lots of loops

This is not random political trolling. They are mocking a 9-0 Supreme Court ruling that he was improperly deported and should come back.

You can stop checking. The convention selects the veep and always has. The sitting veep has no special claim—witness Nelso Rockefeller in 1976 or Henry Wallace in 1944.
I've checked three other states so far (CA, NC, and AL) and none list VP candidates.

Really? In which state was she on the ballot?
Ironically, Harris is the only one besides Biden who can claim her name was on the primary ballot. So I have zero idea what you're saying here.
Harris was not chosen by the Democrats. If you put her in, it's like a coronation.

Everything the Democrats are doing right now will result in the loss they are trying to avoid.

Imagine how many people would notice if he were running against a younger opponent.
Remind you of anyone?

Comparing “Trump’s speech from decades ago to 2017; experts in neurolinguistics & cognitive assessment all agreed there had been a deterioration.” Such declines can result from many issues but ”could reflect changes in health of Trump’s brain.” www.statnews.com/2017/05/23/d...
Trump wasn’t always so linguistically challenged. What could explain the change?
STAT asked experts to compare Trump's speech from decades ago to that in 2017. All noticed deterioration, which may signal changes in Trump's brain health.

Winning a Republican primary by 20 points seems underwhelming to me, but I guess it’s better than “the polls were wrong again.”
