So one of the big "complaints" with GDT's Frankenstein is that it looks "artificial."
Because apparently GDT was supposed to film in *actual* gothic castles, Victorian era science labs and in the arctic rather than build sets for these places.

And now these guys are spinning out because they *clearly* thought they were going to be the dominant "voice" of the conversation and weren't prepared for people pushing back, so now they're crashing out that they are getting people calling them out on their nonsense.
So looks like most of the anti-GDT Frankenstein crowd are obnoxiously pretentious "film snobs" that think liking films in black and white is a personality, along with people who literally don't understand how storytelling or adaptations work.

The biggest problem now regarding AI is that we have people who know nothing about VFX or filmmaking now declaring *anything* that looks a little stylized to be "AI."
Just showing the whole situation is rotting brains from both directions.

So I guess "Film Twitter" is mad that GDT's Frankenstein is not a *completely* faithful adaptations of the original novel- you know, like all those other faithful adaptations- and also isn't "feminist" enough, and apparently the VFX work is "bad" and really it's just miserable people being miserable.

The best thing about Kevin Conroy's work is that even though he's sadly no longer with us, his voice is so memorable that you can read a sequence like this and hear his voice and know *exactly* how he'd play the scene.

This just goes to show how performative a lot of online discourse is and how it's not due to a fully developed argument and instead just something they can use to criticize one while praising the other.

Fun fact: Because of Columbo, there was almost a civil war which was only stopped by Peter Falk himself, and Falk also turned down the opportunity to meet the Prime Minster of Japan.
Enjoying Columbo, an endlessly rewatchable series. Falk's sly timing raises the level of every scene, as in "Blueprint for Murder," where he questions the arrogant architect, drops an incriminating fact, then reaches in his coat pocket and asks, "Ya want half a candy bar?"

Catching up on how "procedural" shows have evolved over the years with series like "The Rookie," "9-1-1" and the "Chicago" franchise, it's interesting to see how shows try to balance the need for greater "realism" with the need for entertaining melodrama, and what steps they take to address it.

The more I head of this situation, the more sick it makes me.
This young woman was unfairly targeted, likely due to racists over her heritage, and they finally got their way.
The bad guys one, her career is likely ruined, and everyone suffers.

Maya Imamori, actress for GozyuUnicorn/Sumino, has left the cast of #Gozyuger, effective immediately.
After being caught underage drinking, she was released by her agency, and her contract for the show was terminated.

Watching Chicago Fire is so funny because they keep having these wacky, sitcom style shenanigans with screwball characters, but it's shot with a gritty realistic, single camera style and scored in a very serious manner, which just kind of makes everything feel a bit off...

Maybe she just didn't want to comment on how a lot of people got *super* weird about an ad and her body that wasn't saying what they thought it was saying?

It's trying to "prove" an argument by making up evidence.
MJ is a "bad fit" because she's "not right for him." For proof, here is a scene that deliberately makes their relationship look as horrible as possible and completely broken.
It's literally "We'll find proof later."

Seen people defending this scene on The Other App™. The biggest issue with this isn't what MJ says; it's that it paints a picture that didn't exist. Peter and MJ's arguments never looked like this. Bickering about "being out late" just wasn't what those books were concerned with, for better or worse

Random Twitter Poster: Here is theory about an upcoming Marvel film that probably isn't true.
Twitter Doomer: Just light all of Hollywood on fire at this point. It's completely unsalvageable. Nothing is worthwhile anymore. Just let everything burn and be cast away.

Sounds like a you problem.
I genuinely hope that FF: First Steps leads to a reconsideration of the much maligned Tim Story films, because as flawed as they are, they have so much more heart & personality and are honestly still a blast to watch while First Steps diminishes with every repeat viewing

So the friend who ended their friendship of 20 years with me over his political views, who is pro-Israel, defended Karlie Chirk, and has been advocating for "Men's rights" recently and was kicked off of *ELON'S* twitter and has moved to Threads... has apparently been kicked off that platform as well
