Read this in a paper and it was totally new to me (after 18 years in biochemistry research): “Peptides translated from the sense and antisense strands of DNA interact specifically, analogous to the complementary interactions between DNA double strands.” Is this widely studied/actually true?? 🤯

A thought provoking scenario: what would happen if "mirror" (reverse chirality) microbe were created and released? The time estimate (10 years) seems long to me as there's been incredible progress in making mirror enzymes. You don't need much of a few mirror enzymes for a self sustaining cascade..🧪
