Seems like the right time to say this, as the national situation is uglier than ever! Here in Buffalo, God’s country as I like to call it, we are fortunate in this fallen cruel country, to have the class act Josh Allen amongst us! Go Buffalo!

Amazing again how today’s Gospel and readings, about welcoming strangers and being hospitable, seems to criticize our current regime and ugliness. Almost like God is trying to tell us something.

Today’s gospel is The Good Samaritan. Our priest compared the brigands who attack the unfortunate victim to our government. The way to eternal life is to take action like the Samaritan and help your neighbor. Isn’t it funny how the gospels always seem to be critical of our government?

For my #ulyssestogether friends. Who knew Buffalo and @ubuffalo.bsky.social had a James Joyce collection? An English Professor from UB, in Paris at the right time with money to burn- brought it back to Buffalo. Now a museum is being built to display it properly. Manuscripts and personal items
