The new #Starbucks coffee lids are an abomination. Discourage sipping, burn lips. Bring back the old lids! Just saying.

It’s The Onion but I wouldn’t be surprised in the least. Does anyone know how many history courses Zuck took at Harvard? I’m betting zero.

Meta’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, announced on Tuesday that his company will no longer fact check user posts on its platforms, capitulating to Donald Trump and Elon Musk. What does this move mean for our democracy? Jay Kuo digs into this question for The Big Picture.

I was standing up cheering as I read this in the Washington Post from Adam Lashinsky. He’s been around the tech bros forever and is completely on to their game. Never mind who is winning www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/202...
Opinion | In a war between tech bros and core MAGA, the winner is easy to spot

I just talked to Santa. I asked “Are you stopping by the Garland residence on this fine evening?” “Merrick Garland?” he asked as he prepared to slide down the flue. “Yes” I replied.

“Fuuuccckkk thaaaattt guuuuuyy!” came bellowing out of the chimney.

Jeff Bezos is saving America from darkness or democracy. I forget which. I’ve never seen a #washintonpost Instagram post until today. It’s good to know they are on the case.

The Borowitz Report (12/20): “A nationwide search has begun to locate anyone who voted for Elon Musk. The leader of the manhunt said searchers had yet to turn up a single Musk voter, which he thought odd given that Mr. Musk is the most powerful person in the U.S. government.”

Try this Olga Lautman piece out on your Trumpy friends. It won’t convince most of them but it may open a few eyes and, if so, that’s a win.

Dude is not wrong.
I’ve been saying this for a while: the party doesn’t have a messaging problem as much as they have a listening problem.

I support Ben Wikler for DNC Chair. I’m not sure about Vice Chair yet, but David Hogg is on point with his remarks about messaging & political consultants.

Protecting potential targets of a wrathful president would serve the interests of democracy, effectively short-circuiting Trump’s revenge agenda. If Biden’s mercy extends beyond his son, his pardons may be seen as more high-minded and politically savvy: namely, limiting Trump’s reign of vengeance.
In sum, Biden can mute concerns about Hunter’s pardon by recognizing the real danger: Trump’s announced threats of vengeance against an array of Americans whose only “crime” was seeking to hold Trump accountable. www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/202...
Opinion | Hunter’s pardon isn’t the issue. What matters are pardons for everyone else.
Trump’s campaign of revenge must be blocked.
