More Smoke and mirrors... The $6K deduction expires at the end of 2028. Meanwhile, the Social Security Trust Fund goes broke a several years after that. Nothing was done to shore up Social Security while giving out the permanent tax breaks to top earners and making hard cuts to SNAP and Medicaid.
