I tend to draw those big ensemble pieces in separate layers-per character. I wouldn't really recommend doing it that way, but it does mean you get some more freedom to draw full poses for cool characters. Possibly use for some stickers or something someday.

I normally do not share my personal life or struggles on social media but I want to on this occasion regarding my appendicitis. I was suffering from stomach cramps and extreme discomforts for 2 wks while going to work and Kumoricon 2025 in Portland - just gritting and bearing it

It’s hard to believe but there was a cartoon about an immigrant mouse and it was seen as totally fine and not controversial and not woke because it was an aspirational and nice thing about America that people could come here and find a better life
