Love ravens, my partner, my great pyr, kids. Love people who wander into my life and light it up with their quirks, gifts, and diverse ways of being human--straight, gay, whatever. Stupid, however, tries my soul. I probably won't respond to chats.
This never ceases to amaze me. This maladministration ALWAYS chooses image over substance, coverup over competence. Foundation of sand, so to speak. Didn't Jesus make some reference to that?
Thank you for your service...to beauty

Well. I thought deporting so many people would open up the job market like crazy. (Do I need a snark tag? Every day is crazy. CaCaCa-razy.)
This would be “worst NFP print since Dec 2020,” adds the Goldman desk.
(WSJ) - U.S. nonfarm payrolls likely shrunk by 50,000 roles in October, economists at Goldman Sachs said.

It’s terrifying that this even needs to be said, when armed men in unmarked vehicles with no ID roam our streets, how do we tell law enforcement from lawless thugs?

This isn’t “security.” It’s state-sponsored fear. 💔

So now, treasonous traitors and alleged insurrectionists can sue for rightfully being investigated by the FBI for being a traitor to their country.
And a handful of democrats voted for this to be ok. Smh.

If this was happening in reverse, Republicans would be screaming about "ex post facto law!"

And it wouldn't bother them if that was wrong because it doesn't involve criminal penalties.
Tucked into a spending bill that is part of the deal to end the government shutdown is a provision that would allow GOP senators to personally sue the federal government for as much as $500K over Special Counsel Jack Smith’s lawful search of their phone records.

Very smart approach. Of course Dems didn’t take it.
Now that Dems have capitulated, at the very least they should now make every future extension of funding contingent on Trump following the law. Any lawbreaking must be met with: No more votes from us, period.

I typed “Tuberville male cheerleaders“ into Google, and its AI said there was ”no public record of Senator Tommy Tuberville making comments specifically about male cheerleaders.” Under that, Google showed me a long public record of Tuberville talking about male cheerleaders.
Google AI needs work.

More and more often, I watch these guys on mute; they look either panicked and out of their depth (like Sean Duffy) or smarmily grinning, clearly lying and enjoying it (like Hassett).

Facial expressions, including micro expressions, and body language speak loudly.
the fact that a reality show guy is overseeing the nation's air travel continues to be mind boggling.
Sean Duffy on air traffic controllers: "It might not be immediate that they come back in ... we'll start to alleviate the restrictions only when the data says we should."

Only books, homemade, and repurposed gifts at our house this year. Blackout is starting early. Not contributing ANY nonessential purchases to this blasted economy. (I did just replace my mouse. It keeled right over and died.)
Economic blackout.

A lot of places are starting their Black Friday deals now. I think they are hoping to work around this. So we’re skipping shopping with them from here out.
