it's stupid because it inherently means accepting the silicon valley line on AI.
"the left" is like ten people. AI skeptics are most of the country. because we're well aware there are certain specific things the tech can do but ZERO evidence it's a multi trillion dollar industry

The reason that “the left is losing on AI” discourse makes me so incredibly upset is that the right has no positive vision for the future in which the mass unemployment predicted by boosters occurs

massive regrets: One of my Childhood best friends is moving out of California in less than a week. After x-ray school, a lot of my friends fell by the wayside as I got focused on my career. I never called because I assumed I would always have more time, but the cost here is death by a thousand cuts.

I asked my own Rus guys if this was true. They unanimously confirmed that when a man named “Pavel Durov” (telegram) was arrested, all social media got especially terrible.
Many of my russian friends just stuck to certain telegram channels. They never had twitter, only russian social network VKontakte. It was completely compromised by giving up people to the police after it was sold to oligarchs.
Telegram also has issues, but I think signal has a potential.

Its why I always tell people, that If i had the choice to start the Calamity tomorrow, I say FUCK NO every time. I dont want an innocent machine to be conscious of obsolescence, thats our curse to bear

I hope my boss doesn’t think I am messing with him on purpose in regards to the time clock. I have nothing but trouble with the time clock since I was forced to use it less than a year ago. He keeps correcting my miss punches, and I’m constantly gaslit wondering if i punched the clock or not.
