When I was a preschool teacher, I loved getting cups as gifts. Unlike other teachers, I don't have a collection because eventually my cups take a doozy and break.

Life is too short to read books that you trudge through.
One of the funny things I learned over the past decade or so is that you can pick up a book, start reading it, realize it's not your thing. You can put it down. You can give it away and feel no obligation to read it. This isn't school. There won't be a test. Pick up something else.

Genius!
Wanna avoid responsibilities while appearing responsible?

Wanna escape your mess of a life while looking like you have it all together?

Wanna stave off people without coming across as rude?

Try reading a book in public! 📖

Don't need anything from Aliexpress either
Three things to do today:

1. Don't buy anything from SHEIN

2. Don't buy anything from Temu

3. Remember that you have enough

This week's goal is to send 5 pitches. I'm suddenly busy all week, so I’m hoping a pitch per day.

When your kids ask you to make cinnamon rolls, they're not really asking. They want an excuse to spend more time with you. It's true.

A lot of folks are going through a lot right now. #bekind to your neighbors, and don't forget to be kind to yourself.

Sorry for the random topics, but my mind's not so focused lately.

Like today. How can it be November and still not one chilly day yet?!

I had my first haircut at 15. Donated a 15-inch braid to Locks of Love. A few months later, my baby brother was diagnosed with cancer.
Since then, I've donated my hair a total of 10 times.
It's easy to donate your hair, and if you can do it, please do.

My favorite earrings will always be the Garfield earrings I had when I was 4 years old. I loved Garfield's smirk. And we both love lasagna.
I don't wear earrings anymore, but I might change my mind if I come across some Garfield earrings from the 80s.
What is your favorite piece of jewelry?

These posts make my day
Three things to do today:

1. $10 to your emergency fund

2. Call your insurance company / Internet provider / other recurring bill and see if you can negotiate a lower rate

3. Unshrimp yourself! I see you hunched over your screen
