We've been making the point for a very long time, in many creative ways, that better mobility in cities is fundamentally about space. If everyone takes too much space trying to move around, no one moves well.

I’ve always felt this framing (“If we switch to LED light bulbs, it’s like taking X cars off the road!”) was permission to keep driving. “If we do other things, we can maintain our car-based lifestyle.” But it should actually be recognition of the harmful impact of our transportation system.
We can save the carbon equivalent of taking 10 million cars off the road if we simply take 10 million cars off the road.
