It is 9:30am and I have been to the dentist twice and the pharmacy twice today. That really ought to be enough for today, but I also have a doctor’s appointment downtown after lunch.

Remember 5 years ago when people thought there were coded messages in the Wayfair catalogue so elites could traffick children in giant cabinets? Anyway it turns out they just send emails like "hey it's me, your best buddy Pedophile Jeff, come do sex crimes at my house"

I’ve been leading a weekly Bible study for a group of friends since 2020. Tonight’s session was on Daniel 3, which lead one attendee to discover that the Beastie Boys were sampling this Sly Stone bop.

I’m hosting a Three Sisters Potluck tomorrow for Indigenous People Day. Prep this morning included roasting a kabocha squash, making corn pudding, and putting some flor de junio beans in the instant pot.

If you didn't want Puerto Ricans speaking Spanish in the US, you should've thought about that before you colonized the island and forcefully made it a part of the US.

My initial reaction to renaming the DoD the Department of War is actually kind of positive. “Defense” implies that we’re only protecting ourselves, when the DoD is often used to proactively “defend” special interests by waging war.

Let’s be honest about what we’re doing and then change!

I had a book club like this over a decade ago. It was fantastic. I would absolutely do it again.
Just encountered a very cool idea for a book club! Each person reads a different book & annotates it. They pass it to the next person in the club, who annotates it, & passes it on. Rinse & repeat! It's a different kind of conversation AND creates a very cool art object at the end!

I’ve been playing Sky Cards, which is like Pokemon Go for airplanes. And then some punk figured out how to bet negative coins in the battle function and quit a battle with me, causing me to lose around 1227000 coins.

If you’re playing Sky Cards, don’t play Battles until they fix this.
