In Pursuit is doing a weekly lesson on each president and some First Ladies in honor of the USA 250th anniversary. Sounds like a great idea for #Edusky #Teachers #SchoolLibrarians #Civics
The first one is about George Washington by George W. Bush

Does everyone feel they must accomplish something over the weekend to justify the time spent relaxing, reading or watching shows? This weekend I did laundry, washed sheets and comforter (this is laundry expansion pack), shopping, cleaned windows and cooked dinner. Now I feel less guilty.

One of my favorite #SchoolLibrary activities is #BookTasting I set out all sorts of chapter books and we talk about how do students choose a book to read. Over 1,300 books checked out last week! Even my reluctant readers were engaged. #TLSky #EduSky #Skybrarians

Learning starts at home, whether intentional or not. Children mimic what they see done by the adults around them.

Every school librarian you know is scrambling to determine suitable replacements for our resource guides, this is a gold standard public resource.
They closed the CIA World Factbook and deleted it entirely.

Just on the social security issue alone, immigrants pay into it and get nothing back ! 👇🏼
Heads are going to explode 💥

Cato Institute just nuked the lie. Immigrants have cut U.S. deficits by $14.5 TRILLION since 1994, slashing the national debt by a third.

All that “immigrants are bleeding us dry” noise? Absolute bullshit.

My 4th graders are doing country reports and I just showed them this as reliable source. It makes no sense to just take it down.
The CIA just stopped publishing their World Factbook and took every page, including the archived copies of previous versions!

This sucks. It was public domain, so I recovered the 2020 edition (the last one published as a zip file) and shared it to GitHub simonwillison.net/2026/Feb/5/t...
Spotlighting The World Factbook as We Bid a Fond Farewell
Somewhat devastating news today from the CIA: One of CIA’s oldest and most recognizable intelligence publications, The World Factbook, has sunset. There's not even a hint as to why they …
