It's remarkable how reluctant the Democratic Party establishment has been to get behind Mamdani's campaign. His political communication skills are really top level.
Mamdani: "I just want to speak directly to the president. I will not be a mayor like Mayor Adams who will call you to stay out of jail. I won't be a disgraced governor like Andrew Cuomo who will call you to ask how to win this election. I can do those things on my own."

spokesperson for Sadiq Khan:

“We are not going to dignify his appalling and bigoted comments with a response.

“London is the greatest city in the world, safer than major US cities, and we’re delighted to welcome the record number of US citizens moving here.”
Trump to the UN: "I have to say, I look at London where you have a terrible mayor -- terrible terrible mayor -- and it's been so changed, so changed. Now they want to go to Sharia Law ... both their immigration and their suicidal energy ideas will be the death of Western Europe."

Autism is one of the greatest things about my brain. Paracetamol or no, I feel for America's kids, and am desperately angry on their behalf.

Reform's ‘plan’ to revoke the legal status of millions of UK residents is morally abhorrent & economic madness

The public believe in fairness & mutual respect, not this cruel Trumpian policy that would leave us all poorer. We are not America - we must resist this dangerous turn in British politics.

Sure, why not, the students can have AI write their essays, the lecturers can have AI mark the essays, and then the university can give out degrees without anyone having had to do anything at any stage whatsoever. Everyone wins, no possible downside.
Simply astonishing. Maybe Lecturer A should not have to mark over 100 essays in a two-week window in the first place? Invest in qualified staff and reduce impossible workloads FFS www.kcl.ac.uk/about/strate...

Idk, I think if the person who runs and manipulates a platform is outright inciting violence then I think maybe MPs should stop using that platform.

I don't think it is callous of me to observe that it is weird to see the PM of the UK, the leader of the Opposition of the UK, and the ex UK PM all putting out solemn and devastated tweets about the death of a podcaster who is only a big name if you're constantly on Twitter

The year is 2104. The Labour Party have just returned to power after decades in the wilderness. Their first appointment is an A.I. Peter Mandelson. He is sacked three days later.
