Paisley Abbey, built in the 12th century, underwent a massive overhaul in 1991. Twelve of the thirteen original gargoyles were too ruined by water damage to salvage, so Ediburgh masons came to the rescue.
One Mason opted to carve himself a certain Disney Princess gargoyle.
