RFK didn't hear of us because society said it was okay to lock us away. In the mid-1970s I was in a "special school" with fellow "hyperactives," along with an entire raft of spectrum disorders, lots of kids with severe learning disabilities, and one 12 year old whose diagnosis was "homosexual."
RFK JR: ADD, ADHD, Tourette syndrome, Narcolepsy, Autism.. All of these are injuries that I never heard of when I was a kid.
