The U.S. military spends about $7.5 billion total on paychecks for service members every two weeks.

The supposed $130 million the Trump admin claims was anonymously donated for military pay would cover about two percent of that.

Watching the Texas-Kentucky football game, I believe the Kentucky coach needs a course in good sportsmanship. And maybe a couple of shots of Black Jack cuz lordy he is out of control.

This comment times 80 million! Full blown bats**t dictator speech.
Dear World: a quarter of us voted for him. Most of us disapprove of him. Most of us are embarrassed by him. He does not represent us.

CO officials confirmed a yearling wolf from the Copper Creek Pack was shot in August. He had already endured life alone after his family was relocated.

Fracturing wolf families makes conflict worse. Strong, intact packs and non-lethal tools are essential for coexistence.

Since when does extortion translate to respect? Trump is so deep into his psychosis, he might just believe the twaddle coming out of his mouth.
Trump: “The European Union respects us. Look, they’re paying us $950 billion.”

Trump makes Richard "Tricky Dick" Nixon look squeaky clean. When he hushed for a few days last week, I felt the earth expel a collective sigh of relief.
Trump: And we are very transparent. There's never been transparency like we have. There’s nothing to hide.

Dang Autocorrect. Ladapo!
Ladson and de Santis have teleported back to the Middle Ages when belief arose from fear, warped religiosity, and science scorn.

Primal stupidity and unhinged impulse response.
Earlier this week, Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife killed an endangered female wolf from the Sherman pack in a misguided attempt to prevent livestock attacks. Science shows killing wolves only worsens conflict. Why does WDFW keep ignoring the evidence?

Anyone else think Caroline Downey on Abby Phillips' show is the rudest big mouth to be on Abby's show since smirking Sullivan?

Yep, we lost Lizzie to gerrymandering and got this guy who isn't satisfied as our congressman. His current massive ad campaign is an attempt to upset Sen. John Cornyn next year. And it looks like Atty. Gen. Ken Paxton is going for the same seat. Can we just flush all three?
This guy's my Congressional representative. Used to be Lizzie Fletcher. Still can't believe it. Stupid gerrymandering.

And knowing in advance Trump's antipathy and intentions for DEI, people of color turned out in large numbers to vote for him. I fail to understand that.
The full order does not only address gov't or contractors. It includes a section "Encouraging the Private Sector to End Illegal DEI" that directs the AG to send Trump a "plan of specific steps or measures to deter DEI programs or principles ... that constitute illegal discrimination or preferences."

I was not raised in a church that preached about the Devil. Therefore, I didn't believe anything about the Devil until nine years ago....
This is what the incoming president is doing. Taking some misguided victory lap as LA burns. Has he uttered a single well wish for the millions of people in this city or is that only reserved for those who display sufficient fealty?

I'm sure Trump was sincere...as long as he can put his name on everything he gives a federal dime to "improve".
Muriel Bowser, the Mayor of Washington DC, met with President-elect Trump today and released this statement:

I second that. Had exact discussion at brunch today in Katy Chinatown (TX). Three of us in 3 different book clubs. Two of us pack actual hard and paperbacks when we travel. Comfort was mentioned more than once. Yes, we all listen to books and e-read but REAL books still give us some tactile comfort.
I'll go somewhere --- anywhere ---- with 5 or 10 books and whoever is with me will ask why, especially in light of the fact that I rarely get to wade through them, at least not to any real extent. I don't have a good reason for it. But my books comfort me, somehow. I can't leave without them.
