None of us can be sure what will “work.” You try multiple things and find your way in. Read some histories of the Civil Rights Movement by those who participated. They were never “sure” of what would work. Some campaigns fizzled out. But persistence, creativity, determination, and focus were key.

Today I learned that stoats change color depending on the season! In the winter, their fur turns all white so they can blend in with the snow. In warm months, they’re brown on top, white on their stomachs.

A bunch of White folks are watching things unfold and waiting for the inevitable turnaround as people become enraged. I find their optimism both heartwarming and frustrating. It's such a pure sentiment, but I remember how Jim Crow permanently buried things Reconstruction had already accomplished.
