A DIY setup using reflections of a pinhole light in a parabolic mirror to visualize air turbulence. Light bends as it passes through rising heat, revealing invisible airflow from a candle.

This was shot on the EdgeHD 8 with Hyperstar for a total integration time of about 5.5 hours using an OSC cam with just the UV/IR-Cut filter.

Probably the last opportunity of the season to capture flower and insects. Here a European hornet on an ivy flower.
No risk of being attacked, the hornet is too busy building reserves for the winter.
