I think maybe everyone should read Audre Lorde's essay Uses of the Erotic
Even though she addresses women directly, I think any person of any gender might get something out of thinking about the erotic as a source of power and how divorcing feeling from sensation is what defines pornography

I dislike how my body behaves so *inconsistently* strangely in response to all the physiological blah blah of menstruation. This literally happens every month, and if it's the same process, it should be shame kind of shitty. The random shitty sucks way worse 😡
