Pyat, a Mouse

Poorly curated personality advertisement for an actual mouse. Former reporter, sometime writer about orcs & rabbit samurai. Now Infosec bureaucrat. As seen on TV. Ponderous whimsy a specialty, sometimes factual. Squeak.

I saw a cat. I had to go into the actual office for the first time this year. And there was this cat? Two of them. But this one was biggest. Also I heard stuff is happening the world.

Why does no one on Fallout recognize Mr. House despite (in one case) having just seen him on TV and (in another case - spoilers) plotting to kill him?

The German Tiger E tank variant available in the Italian tech tree for War Thunder is called the Tigris. This is historically accurate, but, c'mon, "Panzerotti" was right there.

Happy New Year, with a tuneful favourite of my high school years, for the good of the losers, the boozers, the ugly, the crazy, the drunks and the punks, the perverts, the lazy.

I am experiencing end of year misanthropy. Right now I am angry that searching for animated GIFs about telegrams returns only GIFs about the app and not the doot doot dots. Was also mad about some TTRPG podcaster I have never listened to, for no reason. I blame Trump, mortality and indigestion.

Shape up US. I still need to visit Maine and West Virginia to fill out my east coast card. And Oregon, to get the west coast. I regret not getting to Hawaii when my little sister lived there, cause I am not likely to go without that additional pretext/free place to stay.

I discovered Moorcock through the 1st book of "The Chronicles of Castle Brass." It is set in the ruins of the Beast Empire, somewhere in far future Europe. It's full of magic, time travel, flame throwers, pirates, ghosts, technological ruins haunted by monsters, sword fights and doomed romances.

The exterior and interior school shots in "IT: Welcome to Derry" were filmed at my old high school, which closed in 2019. The lockers have been painted but it otherwise looks the same.

Fallout (the show) is (plotwise) as good as the games, minus the fun of the games. It mostly runs on "I recognize that thing!" and solid casting. Foundation is a hot mess. Do not marry it or lend it money. Ted Lasso was delightful and then wasn't. Pluribus has been pure gold so far.

Still testing positive. So mostly, I have been sleeping, working, watching Barney Miller, and playing Ultima VI and eating all the butter in Lord British's castle.

Maybe the US will turn into Argentina or Brazil of the North. Maybe it'll split in two: MAGA country = Argentina and the rest = Brazil. Both resource rich, high crime, heavily populated, mostly broken, with limited influence. One is full of fascism and the other has a lot of street parties
