Current #wip for #ShowMeYourKnits this week. Pattern is Moonlit Magic Mitts on Ravelry. Yarn is cascade 220 fingering and big twist sock yarn. I think I FINALLY figured out color dominance by mitt two. Only second time using DPNs. Wish I tried them sooner! 🧶

Early this morning, our city still plunged into darkness, I set off to walk the Brooklyn Bridge.

As the sun came up, we were joined by canvassers, labor leaders, elected officials, and working people — a movement to bring a new day to our city.

Tomorrow, we win it together.

#showmeyourknits horror story week, this Haruni shawl had multiple mishaps. the white yarn became a huge tangled mess that left me in tears. At some point near the end, a stitch snapped and started unwinding. I was able to felt and stitch it back together luckily. 🧶#knit

Since it’s hat week for #showmeyourknits I’ll share my other hats too! I made three of these and entered these two in the county fair. These were my first colorwork project. Learned a lot! 🧶

I’ve never knit socks, so can’t do #showmeyourknits this week, but I’ve finally finished my first sweater (even though I had to make short sleeves). Love how it came out! Made for my cat crazy kid. #knitting #cat 🧶

This man should be the one speaking on college campuses…

“They’re planning for us to turn on each other and make this culture war a civil war. I am begging you, please, for the love of God, for the love of our neighbors… do not take the bait.”

I just doubled my monthly donation to PBS. You get access to all of their catalog of shows too with just $5 a month. Incredible deal!
"No matter where I lived, I knew this was guaranteed because after moving into a new place, we’d plug in our old box television, adjust the shitty little antenna just so, and voila, like magic, there was PBS. It was free."

Colbert was incredible. Since CBS doesn’t appreciate him maybe he should go back to this genius character? We could sure use it now. 🇺🇸

Democracy is dying in America, and resistance begins with language — it shapes what the public sees, and what they’re willing to tolerate.

Resistance begins when we refuse to repeat their lies.

Words become action. Action becomes power. Truth becomes revolution.
