Increasingly believe that the only ways to be able to work full-time as an artist are either benefitting from the safety of familial wealth, being part of a dual-income household, or acquiring the patronage of a Florentine banking and political dynasty that ascended to power in the 15th century

Good morning Bluesky. What's the most ridiculous thing that you've been told is "gay"? Or at least "gay when a man does it"?

I'll start: birthday parties.

Lots of people trying to get into The Irish Times by moving to Brussels and going for the tired 'Ireland doesn't love me back' angle. What you need to do now is move out to a rock off off the coast of Inishmore and talk about your 19 hour commute to Accenture

Teenagers setting off fireworks look over at me. Questioning whether I'm a Male Karen. No gilet. No loafers. No visible rugby interest. But there's something about me that screams "can we have a bit of cop on goys?"

With heartfelt thanks to the team at Hachette Ireland, I can now share that my first book, At Least It Looks Good From Space, is coming out this October.

I thought I was more emotionally prepared for this moment but it turns out I'm absolutely not. I hope you like it.

Putting aside whatever serious implications there are to all this stuff, I think we can all agree it's completely hilarious to watch Fine Gael repeatedly try to pull their arms and legs out of the tar pit with their face. How are they so much worse at this than we already knew?!

Stealing crowned jewels from The L'Ouvre is definitely the sexier type of stealing. Compare that to Jim Gavin's deeply unsexy method of just not repaying a standing order.

There should be a Performative Male section in Easons, and then underneath The Bell Jar is a note which reads "A true perfomative male would never go to Easons."

Death Cab for A Cutie didn't make it onto the greatest songs of the 21st Century and I reckon Rolling Stone thought this is the least intimidating fanbase to piss off.

Must be great being emotionally attached to Taylor Swift and her releasing an album every year. Some of us were told by Frank Ocean in 2016 that he's just going outside to buy some milk.

Ireland, for the 576th time, is learning the lesson that being good at GAA does not automatically mean that you are a nice person.

Landlord Jim Gavin never refunded 6 months' rent to a former tenant who accidentally kept paying rent after he moved out. The tenancy was not registered with the RTB. Gavin really is the perfect Fianna Fáil candidate.

Quick Public Service Announcement. It's come to my attention that some dads when out at a restaurant or getting a takeway have been asked "did you give him a tip?" and are not responding with "yeah I told him not to stand up in a canoe". Please follow the guidelines as outlined
