Sir Ian McKellen performing a monologue from Shakespeare’s Sir Thomas More on the Stephen Colbert show. Never have I heard this monologue performed with such a keen sense of prescience. Nor have I ever been in this exact historical moment.TY Sir Ian, for reaching us once again.

Good luck!!! This happened to me right after I moved in with my now wife. It wasn't a foster but one of her cats. Suffice it to say I would not be married today if I hadn't found Junior. Now every time someone leaves an outside door open (I'm looking at you contractors), I do a cat count.

continue to think that if instead of "raw milk" we called it "doodoo milk" people would understand the risk proposition
This is bonkers. MAHA 'farmers' with ecoli tainted raw milk admit they really don't know how to make the stuff after all.

"Producing raw milk takes careful planning from a facility and infrastructure standpoint. Unfortunately, we learned this after the fact."

I think it is OUTRAGEOUS that people are LEAPING to the conclusion that some our post prominent Americans are child rapists when it is EQUALLY PLAUSIBLE that they are simply indifferent to whether other people are child rapists so long as those other people can offer them access to power.

Yeah, I'm in Buffalo so I'm familiar with lake effect. We get 2" and a friend in the next town over 2'. Guess I'm just bemoaning how the forecasts aren't that helpful. At most, it tells you to have your weather app open to radar to track the snow bands in real time. Anyway, stay safe!

How is a weather forecast of 3-24" at all helpful? Like that's the difference between driving to Wegmans and riding you Tauntaun.

The biggest risk in this moment is something sociologists call “symbolic compliance.”

That’s when an institution that is violating civil rights gives the public just enough symbolic victories that accountability efforts lose steam before there has been any meaningful change.
