Really feels like those going to bat for GenAi use cases are not creatives. I'd rawdog a powersander before outsourcing my creativity. GenAi only makes perfect sense if you view art as entertainment and 'content' instead of anything meaningful, which is an awfully craven outlook.

Had the same thing happen with the hands too. Have some stuff that mostly helps now, but winter makes things rough. Trial and erroring skincare stuff for my face is also a nightmare lol, but you basically just gotta roll with the punches.

Larian's horrible hirring process is an open secret in the industry β insane amounts of unpaid work in "writing tests", excessive numbers of interviews, months and months of back and forth, etc. Everyone in games narrative circles has heard the stories at this point, probably from multiple people.
I know this because they tried to recruit me and I strongly considered it but theyβre also a βdo an unpaid writing test where you have to also make it playableβ company so thatβs not something I vibe with

Of course, the funniest bit of all is doing this for fucking Divinity, which as a fantasy franchise is mostly riffing off of established tropes. Finally, a bold new creative vision outsourced to prompt generation. Get real lmao. Hack behavior.

It's also deeply pathetic to pitch the idea of using it for conceptual stuff as fine since that inevitably affects the direction of the project. Oh, no, it's fine, the bones of this thing were just crafted out of soulless plagiarism, no worries!

Don't know why any creative would ever want to use Gen Ai at any point, but it is especially funny to me to use it for placeholder writing because like... just write the placeholder yourself lmao???? I do it all the time! Figuring out the stupid prompt has gotta be a comparable amount of effort.
