Magenta Horizon is pretty easily one of the best action games I have ever played that deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as NG and DMC, but it's also a real adventure on top of the electrifying combat sandbox. Can't recommend it enough. An easy 10/10

Magenta Horizon is pretty easily one of the best action games I have ever played that deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as NG and DMC, but it's also a real adventure on top of the electrifying combat sandbox. Can't recommend it enough. An easy 10/10

The short version: Despite layoffs, buying the game still puts money in the pockets of the developers who worked on it. Which is doubly important because they're out of a job. Boycotting the game in solidarity with them by screwing them out of money won't help anyone!

I say it every chance I can: this is truly one of the strangest and most mesmerizing games I've ever played. Truly a highlight of the last five years or so. A real mutt of a game that shouldn't work but I think is incredibly awesome.

Seen it a few times now, and I genuinely don't understand why some people seem to think the Hades games are dating sims and not narrative heavy roguelikes with (minor) optional romances. All the romance dialogues COMBINED likely amount to less time than a single successful run takes.

Funniest part of the various "director" modes in Ghost of Yotei is that you can use all of them at the same time. Pointlessly shallow *aesthetic* instagram filter ass modes. Crucially, none of the modes fit the game at all anyway since it wasn't made with them in mind.
