After buying it for $18.8 billion, Walgreens' new private equity owner has eliminated paid holidays for all hourly workers on Christmas and New Year's.

Last year, Walgreens had a CEO-to-Worker pay gap of 410 to 1.

Corporate greed that would make even Scrooge blush.

Since when did "this person is deportable" become "we can send this person to a hell hole prison in a 3rd country for an indefinite period of time"?

Trump’s goal all along was to end military aid to Ukraine. That’s why he offered a “peace deal” with no security guarantees and set up that fight with President Zelenskyy knowing no sane leader would accept it.

This is the story.
DOGE recommended firing workers at:

-FDA, which oversees Neuralink

-FAA, which oversees SpaceX

-USAID, which probed Starlink

-CFPB, which oversees Tesla's financing arm and a potential payment platform on X.

"Conflict of interest" is a severe understatement.

This country has seen some bad moments in the 61 years, 5 months, 16 days I’ve been on this Earth. But it has never, ever before come close to the supertoxic level of stupidity, mendacity, narcissism, nihilism, and moral apathy that threaten to destroy it today.

Democratic leaders! It’s fine to hold out for the legal system (slow moving) to pull us out of this nightmare but it’s not enough. Get out and interview actual people who have been hurt by his slaughter of democracy.
Show Devastation, fear and pain of real people because of his cruel policies.

If you thought it wasn’t possible—well, here we are. Musk pulled $80 million in funding authorized by Congress straight from NYC’s bank account. The federal government took the funds and called it a “clawback” of taxpayer money. A lot of others would simply call it stealing.

This is the moment we’ve always been headed towards. If the President refuses to follow a court’s order we are in deep crisis. The GOP has courted this disaster.
JUST IN: A federal judge in Washington says she's concerned that the White House is still implementing the spending freeze that she and a Rhode Island judge have ordered temporarily halted.

Judge AliKhan is inclined to issue a restraining order.

The county library system just put out a hell of a statement about the EOs, telling us they're bullshit and the libraries are here for the whole community no matter what.

I am so proud of them. Goddamn I love librarians.

Senator Andy Kim just went to the USAID building, talked to the security guard there to confirm employees are being barred entry, and then did a press gaggle right there in front to call it out.

This is doing something. This is making an effort on messaging. Other Democratic lawmakers: take notes.
