This is unconscionable but not entirely surprising in Nebraska.
Paid sick leave is a common sense, pro-worker policy that was broadly supported at the ballot box. To go around the will of the people, to disregard their voice and their vote is un-American. A handful of state legislators don’t have the right to overrule the people just because they disagree.
