Now that is a bird I have never seen before. 😍 The only woodpeckers we see in my corner of the world lately are redheaded woodpeckers.

It would be super great if someone started yelling & berating him about what he’s wearing AND if he, Musk, & JDV have thanked the American people for their all expenses paid vacations to golf, ski, & go to Mars. I’d also love for someone to scream at him “you don’t tell us how we should feel, okay”

I should clarify; the appearance of efficiency is valued above liberty.

I love a good data-driven approach to evaluating the so-called efficiencies of this “managerial state.” James Burnham (1941) argued that at some point the US would be a managerial vs democratic state where efficiency is valued above liberty. I think that point in time has arrived.

Can we please stop using the term layoff? Fed employees are being summarily dismissed or terminated, not laid off. The words we use to describe what is happening matters. Saying your employment is ending due to “poor performance”, no matter your performance hx, is quite literally a termination.

We love them. I never realized how nimble they are/can be until I watched two jump and clear a 6’ fence.
