Who is in 50's circle? Setting your sights on bringing another person down is always the beginning of your own downfall. In the beginning it always seems like you are winning, but by the end whatever pain/shame/criticism you direct on another person will boomerang back to you. U reap what u sow.

Started stressing about where everyone will sit for Thanksgiving dinner. Hub reminded me that our grandmas hosted 30-deep in a 3 bedroom home with one table, 5 chairs, and 2 stools. No one complained while eating some of the best food, cakes, and pies ever. We are good. Be grateful. #Thanksgiving

I knew something weird was happening to my Gmail accounts. All of a sudden AI was basically taking over my emails. One day I was fine, the next I'm vying with Gemini to reply to a simple email. Thank you for sharing this.
If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."

There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.

My aunties ate this up when I was a child. J.R.'s name (along with Victor Newman) was on constant rotation in the beauty salon and in neighborhood banter. The chokehold of soap operas and evening television drama on the 80s. IYKYK
Larry Hagman, Linda Gray and Mary Crosby seen here in the "Who Done It?" episode of "DALLAS" dir. Leonard Katzman revealing the person who pulled the trigger was Kristin, J.R.'s scheming sister-in-law and mistress who shot him in a fit of anger, which aired #OnThisDay in 1980

Was supposed to have a virtual writing session this morning with a co-researcher but she notified me that ICE is in Durham and she has to do patrols to help keep her community safe. The forced normalization of protrcting communities from ICE is equally damaging. You can't just undo this and move on.

Never thought of it like this...
one of the more frustrating things about AI shit is that it, unfortunately, represents how a lot of older types think the computer should work ("ask it questions, get answers, talk with it") and normal interaction with a computer makes them terrified they'll hit a "blow up everything" button

Yesterday a delivery truck pulled up beside our home blasting Michael Jackson. My 9-year old son and I were playing basketball. He turns to me excitedly and says, "Mom, thats Dirty Diana!" He was so excited and broke out in a dance. I smiled. And for a brief moment all was right in the world.

The vast body of research that Ken Burns relied upon to make his new documentary on the American Revolution would be practically impossible to be produced today, what with the defunding of humanistic scholarship, the collapse of stable academic jobs, the attack on public history & academic freedom.🗃️

There has to be more legitimate militaristic/defense topics up for discussion...has to be. Sudan. Venezuela. N. Korea. Russia. Ukraine. Use of military force against select states. Climate change impacts on military logistics. But here we are talking about beards.
Hegseth: "We don't need to be a military of beardos anymore. Do you know how many troops claim to be Nordic Pagan? No, suddenly it's become this real fake religious affiliation inside the Pentagon where troops came to be Nordic Pagan so they can grow a beard and nobody challenges them on it."

2. Try a new hairstyle you can do yourself
3. Plan a book swap with your family
4. Get some cough drops and epsom salts. It's wintry bath time.
5. Play a full album w/ no skips

This is why I wrote my blogs, "The Intelligence that is Artificial."
Why humans would defer their own organic brain intellect to machine intellect is beyond me. Mind you, machine intellect relies on human intelligence. Ingenuity, yes. Intelligence, nope.
Bahahahahaha The New York Times just printed an opinion piece declaring "AI is intelligent, so long as we redefine what intelligence means to include it. And soon AI will be conscious, because we'll just redefine consciousness too!"

Nothing means anything! Yay!

Black American soldiers literally dug these WWII graves. Traumatic. To acknowledge that fact at a cemetery they helped construct is something the Heritage Foundation cannot accept. As Veterans Day approaches, never forget that this country both compels and disrespects Black military service. Always.
1/ The US Government has quietly removed a memorial to Black soldiers who died in World War II from the Netherlands American Cemetery in Margraten, South Limburg. The move follows a complaint from the right-wing Heritage Foundation to the American Battle Monuments Commission. ⬇️

I read Marquez's 'Until August' and loved it. The wording, the plot or lack thereof, the descriptions...so rich and beautiful. I fell head over heels after just a few pages. This is how a Nobel writer makes you feel. Their pen, like a needle, draws you out of your world and into theirs.

My husband said, "he sounds just like a New Yorker."
