Received this email yesterday...the contradictions on the federal level as opposed to what's happening on the ground are so severe.

Matthew 6:26 "Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?"

My oldest decided to doodle on his shoes before camp. Didn't expect an impromptu art experience, but that is the beauty and surprise of art. You never know when the inspiration will hit you. Also, he was super happy doing it. Art + time=joy.

Radio City Music Hall was on purple today! What an amazing graduation for my #NYU niece-now Tisch-Stern grad, Jasiah! I've never experienced a grad ceremony quite like this one. Pre-show live music by students, a dance performance, two music performances, and fine art flair everywhere. Inspiring!

Finished my first Brit Bennett book. I felt so many emotions throughout this book. The twins pulled me in and then spit me out just as harshly. That makes sense if you've read it. What Bennett does with memory and identity-the fragility and necessity of both-is so important.

I really enjoyed Dream Count. Adichie has a way of pulling you into her stories even if you want to retreat. I feel like she wrote this book very unapologetically and through fragility. The characters stick to you-maybe not Chia - but the rest seem very familiar and communal. Sisterly.

Experiencing a little history at St. Simon's Island, Georgia. It's hard to erase what you personally experience. All of us should be packing out our local, state, and national museums.

I caught the sunrise this morning. Whatever you do, don't miss the ways in which Mother Nature keeps providing beautiful, unique gifts to us each day. Find some joy every day. There will be plenty of challenges awaiting you. Embrace joyful moments as much as you can.

What a beautiful and loving book. The kids really enjoyed it. She honors her parents, and aptly reminds kids how small beginnings can evolve into major milestones. It also provides a slight music history as well. I highly recommend for adults and children alike!
