The thing about AOC & Mamdani is they *stand* for things. They care & mean what they say.

These Congr. Dems who imagine some aging white Bob & Sue they must appeal to stand for nothing. They‘re feckless while thinking they can’t appear “radical.” And they flail on what issues matter.

A couple years ago I worked on 12 grants in my role as a task force director at the Library of Congress. This year, zero. We are going to lose a lot of our public memory. Which is at the crux of fascistic mobilization.

Virginians deserve the right to marry who they love — full stop. I’m relieved that the Supreme Court decided to maintain this landmark precedent.

Virginia, come January, know that you will have a Governor who will always protect your right to marry.

seems to me that those democrats inclined not to fight perceive themselves as living through a somewhat ordinary cycle of presidential overreach and backlash and not something much more significant and dangerous

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

Surprise! I found that the energy transition I've spent 20 years tracking is going to be the best mechanism to pursue Paris targets in the decade ahead www.theglobeandmail.com/opinion/arti...

There it is.
Media is complicit in fascism.
Govern yourselves accordingly folks.
And remove those subscriptions.
I know I did.
The New York Times quickly sending out Douthat to argue that Mamdani’s victory doesn’t really matter is so predictable it borders on self-parody.

Remember, folks: Every time the Right wins an election, it’s an undeniable expression of the will of the people. If a lefty wins, it’s just a blip.
