Feel safer yet?

Rep Eric Swalwell told me exactly this in an interview on Friday, adding defunding ICE, an end to immunity and more support for state prosecutions of criminal agents:

Honking horns is now obstruction of justice. From the party of individual liberty. bsky.app/profile/atru...
Rep. Pete Sessions: "This protesting that goes on -- honking of horns, obstructing federal law enforcement -- should not be tolerated ... I stand completely with the administration on this effort."

Serious question:
What if ICE is successful? What if, by their own lights, they get every "criminal alien" out of the US? What then?

Do they disband? Will a future Democratic president have an armed goon squad at his disposal?

Let's get ahead of this.

Tillis is spot on. The Senate can't confirm a Trump toady to succeed Powell at the Fed. The rest of the game is now out in the open, and it doesn't end well.

Impeach Bondi!
Gosh, Thom.

What you're describing is the kind of blatant abuse of DOJ that might merit impeachment.
Trump’s attack on Fed already starting to backfire. Republican Sen. Tillis: “I will oppose the confirmation of any nominee for the Fed—including the upcoming Fed Chair vacancy—until this legal matter is fully resolved.”

Hey, Doocy: why are you smirking all through this interview with my congressman. Very unprofessional, even for Fox.

Question for "bag man" Tom Homan: where IS that 50K in cash that was in that bag? Huh? Where is it now?
It doesn’t take a trained ear to hear the deflections. Homan does not deny taking a bag of money. The public deserves answers.
WELKER: Where is that $50,000? Did you keep it?

HOMAN: I didn't take $50k from anybody & that's a question for the FBI. Bottom line I did nothing illegal.

WELKER: But was there $50k in the bag?

HOMAN: I'm not addressing it

WELKER: But did you keep the money?

HOMAN: $50k is ridiculous

The message from the White House this morning is that, once again, it falls on ordinary American citizens to remain calm and professional when dealing with the heavily armed agents of the government because they are very emotional and might fly off into a murderous rage at the slightest insult.

The reactionary centrist logic is simple: if the left does something bad it’s the left’s fault, and if the right does something bad, it’s also the left’s fault for making them do it. It’s a simple formula and once you see it every one of their arguments is the same

This agency is out of control if leadership is no longer checking violations of constitutional rights. Congress absolutely must step in before more people are kidnapped/killed.
A woman recording an ICE agent tells him "Shame on you."

The agent responds, "Have you all not learned from the past couple of days?"

"Learned what?" she asks

Then he knocks her phone out of her hand

I've noticed that ICE agents keep yelling "18 USC § 111" at people filming them. I'd like to see the memo they all got on that talking point, and I'd like to know who sent it. Filming ICE or alerting your neighbors to their presence doesn't violate § 111.
